Gianluca Zonta<\/strong>, classe 1980, ha studiato Informatica e Cinema presso il DAMS e ha frequentato il Master in Sceneggiatura “Carlo Mazzacurati”.
Nel 2009 ha realizzato “COPS”, la prima web serie italiana, segnando cos\u00ec i suoi esordi nella narrazione digitale. Nel 2015 \u00e8 stato finalista al Premio Solinas con la sceneggiatura di “Teresa, Luisa and the #NotteRosa”.
Ha diretto diversi cortometraggi di successo, tra cui “Pizza Boy” (2019) \u2013 presentato alla Festa del Cinema di Roma nella sezione “Alice nella citt\u00e0” e vincitore di oltre 50 premi in tutto il mondo \u2013; “The Right to Vote” (2021), una storia di fantascienza politica premiata ai festival spagnoli di Elche e Galacticat; e “The Aquarium” (2024), un racconto brillante e stimolante sull’amore e l’intelligenza artificiale, presentato in anteprima a Cortinametraggio e vincitore di oltre 70 premi in festival italiani e internazionali.


DIRECTOR'S NOTES<\/strong>

With The Aquarium<\/em> I want to tell, through a romantic and light-hearted story, how artificial intelligence is influencing relationships today. The short film plays with situations bordering on the paradoxical to show, with irony, how new technologies can guide choices and behaviors, challenging authenticity and spontaneity.
The story follows two couples who, in different ways, navigate the use of an AI-powered app to manage their relationship. This leads to the short's central theme: is it better to follow technology's suggestions, risking losing one's authenticity, or trust one's instincts, accepting the risks and unpredictability of love?
The Aquarium<\/em> It doesn't claim to provide definitive answers, but rather invites reflection on a highly topical topic, highlighting the critical issues and potential of new technologies, with lightheartedness and a pinch of irony.
