DIRECTOR'S NOTES

With The Aquarium I want to tell, through a romantic and light-hearted story, how artificial intelligence is influencing relationships today. The short film plays with situations bordering on the paradoxical to show, with irony, how new technologies can guide choices and behaviors, challenging authenticity and spontaneity.
The story follows two couples who, in different ways, navigate the use of an AI-powered app to manage their relationship. This leads to the short's central theme: is it better to follow technology's suggestions, risking losing one's authenticity, or trust one's instincts, accepting the risks and unpredictability of love?
The Aquarium It doesn't claim to provide definitive answers, but rather invites reflection on a highly topical topic, highlighting the critical issues and potential of new technologies, with lightheartedness and a pinch of irony.
